Legacy Health System is excited to recruit for a fellowship position in our pediatric specialty care clinics. Legacy Health / Randall Children’s Hospital is expanding behavioral health services and invites applicants for a full-time post-doctoral fellowship position in pediatric psychology.

Conveniently located in the heart of Portland, we serve babies, children and teens from throughout the Pacific Northwest with specialists in nearly every area of pediatric care.

Pediatric Psychology fellows have opportunities to provide patient care across our outpatient clinics and 9-story pediatric medical hospital. Time is devoted to the departments of Gastroenterology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, and Rheumatology and fellows develop a strong working relationship within these interdisciplinary teams. Fellows carry a caseload of patients in each clinic while also providing inpatient services for the respective departments. Clinical work includes providing individual therapy and family sessions to support coping with chronic health conditions, coping with new medical diagnoses, psychological factors impacting medical treatment, adherence, coping with hospitalization, and other. Interest in program development, strong clinical skills, and relevant training experiences in a medical setting are desired.  A qualitative project will be chosen by the fellow at the start of the year and carried throughout.  

Projected start date is September 2024. Salary and benefits are competitive.

 

Applicant requirements:

Completion of a PhD/PsyD with dissertation completed prior to start date

Completion of an APA-accredited internship

Eligible for Oregon Board of Psychology licensure for residency
