Responsibilities

The Medical Director defines and develops clinical and medical programs and procedures in Legacy GoHealth Urgent Care Clinics. This person manages a staff of clinical practitioners. The Medical Director ensures medical staff is provided with support, feedback, education, training, and scheduling in order to maintain exceptional levels of efficiency, client satisfaction, and patient experience. S/he is required to implement medical practice procedures and policies that abide by external and internal regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Education:  M.D. or D.O. degree from accredited medical school required. Board certified in emergency medicine, family practice or internal medicine.

 

Skills:  Demonstrated strong analytical, management, delegation, organizational, and administrative skills to develop and mentor a high performing team. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience demonstrating flexibility and fluidity in managing numerous responsibilities, acting as a “coach” and manager while simultaneously managing multiple operational sites. Possesses the tenure, knowledge, and skillset necessary to bring authority to new and existing relationships, both internal and external among physicians and non-physician executives.

 

Experience:  Two years clinical leadership experience successfully building, developing and leading high-performing medical teams. Private practice experience preferred.
