  Legacy Medical Group Neurology is recruiting an outpatient Neurologist to join our team. Legacy Neurology has 5 practice locations attached to 5 acute care hospitals. The clinics are all either in Portland or within 20 minutes of downtown. We have neurohospitalists at all five stroke centers and the neurologist will not need to cover stroke call. We are seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our rapidly expanding pediatric lung and sleep program. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys managing the full spectrum of pediatric pulmonology including the clinical management of infants, children and adolescents with asthma, chronic lung disease and home technology needs. Additional opportunities to participate in multi-disciplinary management of patients with sleep related disorders are available. The level of participation may be tailored to provider’s interests. For decades Randall Children’s Hospital has been a regional leader in providing excellent care to infants, children and teens in Portland and the Pacific Northwest and is one of Oregon’s largest providers of high acuity pediatric inpatient and trauma services. Randall Children’s Hospital medical staff is made up of more than 600 physicians, including pediatric medical and surgical specialists, hospitalists and community pediatricians. Randall Children’s Hospital receives nearly 150,000 patient visits per year. The Children’s Emergency Department is Oregon’s busiest, with more than 26,000 visits annually. Pediatric Critical Care coverage is provided by 24/7 in- house Pediatric Intensivists in the ICU.  Additionally, there is an inpatient Child and Adolescent Program through the Unity Center for Behavioral Health which is a unique collaboration of four healthcare systems within the Portland metro area. Randall Children’s Hospital is a teaching facility for medical students and residents. Hood or catch a wave off the Oregon Coast – all are a short drive from Portland.   Responsibilities and Qualifications:   Clinical - Provides consultation services for children with pulmonary diseases who are hospitalized at a Legacy hospital or are referred by their primary physician for outpatient consultation. - Responds promptly in writing to referral source with clinical findings and suggested plan of care. - Provides telephone consultative services for children with pulmonary diseases throughout Oregon and the region. - Provides continuous coverage for the Pediatric Pulmonary Services together with the other pediatric pulmonology specialists on the Emanuel Hospital Medical Staff. - Development of consultative asthma clinic, chronic lung disease clinic, neonatal follow-up clinic, as requested. Administrative - Shares responsibility with colleagues for respiratory therapy practices on all Legacy pediatric units and newborn nurseries. - Collaborates with colleagues and other staff to develop policies and procedures for respiratory care throughout Randall Children’s Hospital. - Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement in respiratory and ventilatory care of all children in Randall Children’s Hospital. - Advises the Legacy Supply and Equipment Council on new technology that pertain to respiratory care/specialized pulmonary care. - Advises the Legacy Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee on pulmonary medications including formulary recommendations, restrictions, utilization, and monitoring of adverse reactions. - Participates regularly in the teaching activities of the Pediatric Department, including resident and student education and outreach continuing medical education. - Participate in marketing/outreach for Pediatric Pulmonary Program as requested.     The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) – Psychologist position, located at our Westside clinic in Beaverton, OR works as a member of the clinical team providing integrated care to individuals and their families. As a member of the team, the BHC will address one or more of the following: mental illness, substance use disorders, health behaviors that contribute to chronic illness, life stressors and crises, developmental risk/conditions, stress-related physical symptoms, preventive care, and ineffective patterns of health care utilization within the LMG clinics.  The BHC is an integral member of the primary care team whose role is to help address a broad spectrum of behavioral health needs in the primary care patient population. Their goal is to aid in early identification and provide problem focused brief interventions that promote remission of symptoms, wellness and long-term prevention for as many patients as possible. This position requires advanced level skill in delivering evidence-based interventions targeted to improve overall health for patients with a variety of emotional and behavioral conditions as well as challenging health behaviors. If you are interested in joining a team that is making a difference, we would like to talk with you.   Legacy Health is currently seeking an experienced Hospitalist to join our dynamic and well-established Mount Hood team.   Responsibilities - Provides prompt and efficient medical care, including call coverage, to patients assigned to inpatient service of the Department of Medicine as scheduled. - Performs duties at the professional level of quality and efficiency established by Hospital. - Collaborates with Emergency Department Clinical Staff to determine the most appropriate site of care for individual patients. - Collaborates with physicians, nursing and administrative staff to maximize cost-effective use of clinical resources. - Provides prompt and clear communication about patients’ admission, condition changes and discharge to clinicians responsible for outpatient care. - Participates as a team member at patient care conferences. - May manage the care of patients in critical care units with Intensivist support. - Collaborates with Medical Director in scheduling. - Employment is to the Legacy Health organization, as a whole, and therefore provides cross-coverage at other Legacy hospitals may be required. - Supervises patient care delivered by house-staff, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and others as requested. - Prepares accurate and timely documentation of patient care to maximize Hospital’s accurate billing and collection of services.
