We currently have a busy service, with 2 structural cardiologist, performing transcatheter aortic valve replacements, left atrial occlusion devices, mitral clips, transcatheter mitral valve replacements, as well as complex coronary interventions. Our cardiology service has 12 general cardiologists, 8 interventionalists, 5 EPs, across 5 hospitals and 6 clinics. The structural team is based out of Emanuel Hospital in central Portland. For emergency coverage, the group of Hospitalists are credentialed at multiple sites.
The well-established OB/GYN Hospitalist program at RCH/LEMC supports the inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Maternal Fetal Medicine service. The OB Hospitalists and the MFM providers work closely together on a daily basis, and the MFM practice has 24/7 (not in-house) coverage available. The OB Hospitalist also provides backup to the LMG Midwifery Practice (all CNMs), coverage for unassigned labor/triage patients, support of our private practice OB/GYN colleagues as needed (i.e. C-section assisting), and coverage for Emergency Department and inpatient gynecologic consults and emergencies (miscarriage, ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy, etc) with backup available. RCH has a Level IV NICU and serves a vital role in the surrounding communities for high-risk pregnancies. Dedicated in-house Anesthesia is present 24/7. Local academic OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents provide coverage 24/7 at LEMC with medical student rotations most of the year. No outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Shifts are either 12 or 24 hours in-house, in a well-appointed call room on the beautiful Labor & Delivery unit in Randall Children’s Hospital. Some preference can be taken with respect to 12 vs 24 hour shifts, but flexibility is required. Weekend shifts are split evenly among the group of FTE’d employees, as are holidays which are on a rotating schedule. You would be joining Portland’s oldest OB/GYN Hospitalist program with very low attrition over its 15+ year history.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon and Washington.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association required.
- Bilingual a plus!
Required procedures/skills:
- Full OB scope of both low and high-risk pregnancies including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, management of third stage labor, hemorrhage, level 1 ultrasound, repair of episiotomy and lacerations, VBAC, etc. Gynecology procedures including D&C, minor and major laparoscopy with adnexal surgery (oophorectomy, cystectomy, salpingectomy, ectopic), tubal ligation (laparoscopic and postpartum).

Randall Children’s Hospital (RCH) Pediatric Infectious Diseases team is searching for their next member to join the current 3 physician team. As a part of Legacy Health, RCH serves as a comprehensive, quaternary care pediatric center, serving children from Portland, Oregon, SW Washington and throughout Oregon state. RCH is known regionally for is specialty programs and clinical excellence.
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician at RCH provides inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases consultations as a protected, salaried employee of Legacy Medical Group. Teaching, leadership, antimicrobial stewardship, infection control, and QI opportunities are available within this flexible, clinical model. Additionally, flexible FTE and hospitalist work are options that may be considered for the right candidate.
Pediatric Infectious Disease Responsibilities:
- Provides inpatient and outpatient consultation services for children served by the Randall Childrens system
- Provides telephone consultative services for providers serving children with infectious diseases
- Serves as Attending Physician for a limited number of pediatric infectious disease patients, with options for newborn, general medicine and resident teaching service experience if desired.
- Shares responsibility with colleagues for infection control practices on all Legacy pediatric units and newborn nurseries and participates as a member on the Infection Control Committee as requested.
- Advises the Legacy Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee including formulary recommendations, restrictions, utilization, and monitoring of adverse reactions as requested.
- Participates regularly in the teaching and mentoring activities of the Pediatric Department, including resident and student education, outreach, and continuing medical education.
- Assists referring physicians in triaging use of hospital services in an efficient and cost-effective manner with their hospitalized patients.
- Participates in education, training, and evaluation of house staff, medical students, and hospital personnel who have direct patient care responsibilities on the Pediatric Units.
- Serves on department, hospital and Legacy Health System committees as requested.
Licensure and Certifications:

Responsibilities:
- Provides antepartum, intrapartum, post-partum, family-planning and well-woman gynecological care independently and with consultation to low, moderate, and high-risk adolescent and adult women based on scope of practice and established guidelines.
- This group provides in-patient newborn care and first assist at cesarean section. This care is guided by practice protocols and standards established jointly by the Silverton Hospital Midwifery Service Staff and the Midwifery Services Program Director under the direction of the Clinical Vice President of Women’s Services.
- Functions in collaborative relationships with consulting physicians as clinically indicated.

Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position in our Pediatric Rehabilitation and Child Development Department. We are an engaged team of developmental-behavioral pediatrician and pediatric neuropsychologists, physiatrists, geneticists among other pediatric primary care and specialists. The successful candidate will have the support of pediatric occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and physical therapists.
