      The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) position is a licensed behavioral health provider who works in an independent clinical role, providing behavioral health interventions to patients within the Weight and Diabetes Institute in Legacy Health.   The BHC is a fully integrated member of the clinical provider team whose role is to help address a broad spectrum of behavioral health treatment to all patients served by a specified primary care clinic . Their goal is to provide early identification and diagnosis in addition to solution focused interventions that promote wellness and long-term prevention for a large segment of a clinic’s established patient panel over time. The BHC acts as an active consultant to medical providers, nurses, clinical pharmacists, care management, and others on the care team. Their role is to support the team in providing highly efficacious and compassionate care to all patients, with an emphasis on improving care for the most complex and marginalized individuals.   The BHC is a fully integrated member of the clinical provider team that assesses, evaluates, diagnoses, and treats emotional, cognitive, and behavioral problems or disorders affecting Legacy Weight and Diabetes Institute patients. A primary role of the BHC is the psychological assessment pertaining to readiness for weight loss surgery. The BHC is part of the multi-disciplinary team that comprises the Legacy Weight and Diabetes Institute and follows established department, program and professional standards, providing guidance to other members regarding management of emotional, behavioral, cognitive and family system problems.  Performs psychological testing as needed to assess readiness for weight loss surgery and to assist patients with weight loss interventions.  Facilitates group programs designed to assist individuals with lifestyle interventions and emotional issues related to weight loss.  Assists with support group facilitation.  Participates in a variety of research activities in collaboration with Legacy Research and studies conducted by the Bariatric Surgeons.   Education: Doctor of Psychology (PhD or PsyD), Master of Social Work from a nationally accredited institution, fulfilling the requirements for licensure in the state of Oregon and/or Washington   Experience: - Two years of outpatient experience with an emphasis on eating disorders and obesity. - Must have a working knowledge of the nature and mechanics of bariatric surgical procedures and their postoperative course, the physiological effects of morbid obesity and dieting, as well as a basic knowledge of the psychology of eating and morbid obesity. - Requires a thorough understanding of the psychosocial, financial, and physical stresses imposed on the patient with morbid obesity and current views on how certain psychosocial factors may affect surgical outcome.  Certification/Licensure: Current licensure as a psychologist or clinical social worker by the applicable State Board.   Equal Opportunity Employer/Vets/Disabled. Performs psychodiagnostic and/or neuropsychological assessment and testing inthe inpatient setting as needed to diagnose and plan treatment, and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.  Provides consultative support to staff and families.   Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology with specialized post-doctoral training in neuropsychology preferred.   Experience: At least one year of post-doctoral experience in inpatient hospital-based neuropsychological or rehab psychology servcies preferred.     Legacy Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon is seeking a part-timecomprehensive or fellowship trained cornea or glaucoma specialist. We are recruiting a collaborative physician with a strong interest in teaching and/or research. The position includes 4 days of clinical responsibilities per week, a competitive salary, and support for continuing education. Additional compensation may occur based on productivity and research. We will consider candidates at all career stages, and research rank will be awarded based on qualifications. DEI is attached to Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center located in downtown Portland Oregon, and occupies two floors and approximately 30,000 sq. ft. It also includes 3 community locations located in northeast Portland, Vancouver Washington, and Tualatin Oregon. It celebrated its 60th anniversary last year.  Legacy Devers works closely with Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health Science University and includes ophthalmology residents, and fellowships in glaucoma and cornea. A mission of Devers is the best eyecare for all and provides over $800k of free or reduced cost eye care per year.   Legacy Devers research:  Devers Eye Institute’s research arm is called Discoveries in Sight (DIS), and includes many opportunities for neuro-ophthalmology clinical and basic science research. The DIS excels in translational “bench-to-bedside” research activities. DIS encompasses 4,000 square feet of research space with animal research, basic science research, psychophysical testing, cell culture, and a histology suite. Scientists at DIS perform research in proteomics and genomics, structural mapping, quality-of-life, and clinical outcomes research. DIS has become world renowned for research in corneal disease, ocular blood flow, optic disc and visual field analysis of glaucomatous optic neuropathy, diagnosis of eye disease, and the early detection of glaucoma.     Description: General Surgeon - Legacy Medical Group, Portland Oregon Position: Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, part of the Legacy Health system, is actively recruiting for a general surgeon to join our team.  The well-established practice currently includes 3 general surgeons. The candidate will have comfort in all aspects of all general surgery. In addition, experience or fellowship training in hernia and complex abdominal wall reconstruction is preferred. The candidate must also have experience with open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques. The candidate will be expected take acute care surgery call, supporting our emergency department and system wide transfer center. No trauma coverage is required. Selected candidate must be team-oriented and have the ability to interact well with colleagues inside and out of the group.   Legacy Medical Group Neurology is looking for a Neurohospitalist to join our team.   Legacy Medical Group Neurology has neurohospitalists at all five Legacy Health stroke centers and has five outpatient practice locations with sub-specialty programs in movement disorders, epilepsy, vascular neurology, headache, and neuromuscular disease.   The neurohospitalist would be based primarily at Good Samaritan Hospital, located in Portland, Or. This full-time position provides consult service for all neurology patients and night call via telemedicine.     Legacy Medical Group Neurology is recruiting outpatient Neurologists to join our team. Legacy Neurology has 5 practice locations attached to 5 acute care hospitals. The clinics are all either in Portland or within 20 minutes of downtown. We have neurohospitalists at all five stroke centers and the neurologist will not need to cover stroke call. We have five outpatient practice locations with subspecialty programs in movement disorders, epilepsy, neuro-ophthalmology, vascular neurology, headache and neuromuscular disease.   The new physician will join our team of 12 neurologists and 3 mid-level providers. The Neurologist will provide outpatient consultation and management of patients with neurological disorders at one or more of our sites. Some general neurology practice is required of all our physicians and a epilepsy background is preferred but there is an opportunity to develop a subspecialty practice as desired.
