- Takes appropriate histories, performs physical examinations, takes photographs of physical findings, as indicated performs colposcopic evaluations, and obtains as indicated cultures, lab tests, and imaging studies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
As a condition of hire and as requested throughout employment, Cares NW requires child abuse background checks which are conducted through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Check Unit (BCU). This requires a signed release and authorization and the background check includes a search of DHS systems for any history of abuse or neglect of a child. If a record exists, the BCU will report the finding back to CARES NW and findings will be addressed in accordance with program policies.
Education:

The Oculoplastics specialist is an ophthalmologist with sub-specialty training in a wide variety of surgical procedures that deal with the orbit (eye socket), eyelids, tear ducts and the face, including the reconstruction of the eye and associated structures. Position provides all aspects of clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment and surgery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
Approved residency in Ophthalmology.
Certification/Licensure:
Medical Board Certified.
Medical License for the applicable state.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides a full range of ophthalmic oculoplastic care, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eyelids and orbit, including trauma, tumors, thyroid eye disease (Graves’ disease), as well as cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery and treatment for disorders of the tear drainage system to adult and pediatric patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in an office, outpatient, or inpatient setting and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
- Aids the Department of Ophthalmology (Devers Eye Institute) in the development of a full-service oculoplastic division, including outreach, program development and growth.

Responsibilities
- Provides prompt and efficient medical care ito patients assigned to inpatient service of the Department of Medicine as scheduled.
- Performs duties at the professional level of quality and efficiency established by Hospital.
- Collaborates with Emergency Department Clinical Staff to determine the most appropriate site of care for individual patients.
- Collaborates with physicians, nursing and administrative staff to maximize cost-effective use of clinical resources.
- Provides prompt and clear communication about patients’ admission, condition changes and discharge to clinicians responsible for outpatient care.
- Participates as a team member at patient care conferences.
- May manage the care of patients in critical care units with Intensivist support.
- Collaborates with Medical Director in scheduling.
- Prepares accurate and timely documentation of patient care to maximize Hospital’s accurate billing and collection of services.
Qualification and Licensure Requirements
- Graduate of a 4-year Medical School or equivalent and completed Internal Medicine residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine.
- Unrestricted Oregon Medical license.
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Legacy Devers Eye Institute (DEI): DEI is the ophthalmology department for Legacy Health, and an integral component of Legacy Health’s clinical, research, and educational mission. This position is for Inpatient Rehab services at the Legacy Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon. The Rehabilitation Psychologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats emotional, neurocognitive, and behavioral problems or disorders affecting adult and/or geriatric patients. Services are provided for patients whose cognitive or psychological disturbance is the primary problem and/or for patients whose cognitive or psychological disturbance is secondary to or adversely affecting management of, a primary medical problem. Participates as a member of the treatment team, following established department, program and professional standards, to provide guidance to other members regarding management of emotional, behavioral, cognitive and family system problems. Performs psychodiagnostic and/or neuropsychological assessment and testing in both inpatient and outpatient settings as needed to diagnose and plan treatment, and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. Attends assigned clinics to provide consultative support to staff and families.
Education:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology with specialized post-doctoral training.
Experience:
At least one year of post-doctoral experience in inpatient hospital-based neuropsychological services. Preference given to persons who have completed a formal hospital-based two-year doctoral training program.
Skills:
Demonstrated competencies in assessment and treatment of emotional, neurocognitive and behavioral disorders in children, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients (depending upon population served by specific position). Demonstrated competency in assessment and treatment of cognitive and psychological problems secondary to, associated with, and/or exacerbating medical conditions. Demonstrated competency in consultation to staff of all levels in a medical setting.
Current licensure as a psychologist by the applicable State Board of Psychologist Examiners. Must be eligible for membership in the hospital medical staff.
