The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) works in a consultative and collaborative role as an integral member of the primary care team. They provide behavioral health interventions to primary care patients with the goal of improving overall health of patients.
The BHC helps address a broad spectrum of behavioral health needs in the primary care patient population. Their goal is to aid in early identification and provide problem focused interventions that promote wellness and relieve symptoms. Behavioral issues that are addressed may be related to physical or mental health conditions. They provide assessment, management and triage of psychological and social problems in the clinic patient population.
This position requires advanced level skill in delivering evidence-based interventions targeted to improve overall health for patients with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems. The work includes the BHC meeting with patients individually for an assessment and then providing recommendations to the primary care team to enhance the patient's care plan. When indicated, the BHC may also work with patients for several subsequent sessions to provide on-going skills training and coaching to improve health and functioning. The BHC also supports helping patients, who require services not provided in the LMG clinic, to make a smooth transition to care with community partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Must be a graduate of a doctor of psychology program accredited through the American Psychological Association (APA) or have a Master of Social Work degree from an accredited school of social work.
Licensure:
Must hold a current valid Oregon and/or Washington License as a Psychologist (PsyD or PhD) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Experience:
Minimum of two years of clinical experience or healthcare related field.
Skills:
- Ability to screen for common mental health problems. Able to conduct Cognitive-Behavioral or solution focused interventions.
- Recognizes and advocates for patients regarding behavioral health strategies/interventions.
- Promotes health behavior change through evaluation, brief intervention and education.
- Works with multidisciplinary team to help support the patient’s health. Coordinates with LMG providers and community partners to refer for appropriate mental health therapy.
- Demonstrates competencies in assessment of emotional, cognitive and behavioral disorders in child, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients (depending upon population served by specific position).
- Demonstrates competency in assessment of cognitive and psychological problems associated with, and/or exacerbating medical conditions.
- Experience with working with an interdisciplinary team.
- Skilled in case conceptualization and consultation.

Legacy Emanuel also has a busy ECMO service with an established pathway for the interested candidate to become credentialed to provide ECMO services, though this is not required. We currently have a busy service, with 2 structural cardiologist, performing transcatheter aortic valve replacements, left atrial occlusion devices, mitral clips, transcatheter mitral valve replacements, as well as complex coronary interventions. The Level IV 45 bed unit is within Randall Children’s Hospital, a free-standing 9 story children’s hospital, and offers comprehensive care with all subspecialties, including cardiac and neurology surgery specialties, genetics and ECMO, within the framework of family integrated care. Randall Children’s Hospital has a dedicated children’s transport team. No transport requirement for the NNP role.
The Level III 22 bed unit at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical center is eagerly awaiting the addition of NNP’s to the care team. The schedule is emerging and includes 12, 16 and 24-hour shift options.
The role requires NNP to be based in the Portland/Vancouver area and requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington. Rotation frequency through both units is negotiable and individualized to maintain 24-hour coverage at both sites, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Holiday tracks and a well-established self-scheduling model bring increased satisfaction and balance to the team.

Resuscitation: The NNP’s attend deliveries in person at each of the medical centers and via a telehealth support platform at the other level I nursery sites to provide a consistent high level of care for newborns throughout the Legacy system.
Discharge Planning: The entire NICU team works to provide an integrated family care experience to enable families to care for their high-risk infants within the NICU setting and beyond. The NICU values input from all members of the team including dedicated neonatal RT’s, consultants from dietary, OT/PT, lactation, as well as the core nursing, medical and leadership staff.

The Level IV 45 bed unit is within Randall Children’s Hospital, a free-standing 9 story children’s hospital, and offers comprehensive care with all subspecialties, including cardiac and neurology surgery specialties, genetics and ECMO, within the framework of family integrated care. Randall Children’s Hospital has a dedicated children’s transport team. No transport requirement for the NNP role.
The Level III 22 bed unit at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical center is eagerly awaiting the addition of NNP’s to the care team. The schedule is emerging and includes 12, 16 and 24-hour shift options.
The role requires NNP to be based in the Portland/Vancouver area and requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington. Rotation frequency through both units is negotiable and individualized to maintain 24-hour coverage at both sites, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Holiday tracks and a well-established self-scheduling model bring increased satisfaction and balance to the team.
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner role is part of the Legacy Medical Group of medical providers. Candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package that includes required license reimbursement and generous continuing education support annually.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Patient Care Management: The NNP’s work collaboratively with Neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists in the NICU as well as pediatricians and obstetricians in the Labor and Delivery and Bamily Birthing centers to guide the care of neonates and infants across the care continuum. The NNP’s are able to practice in an autonomous role utilizing technical procedural skills as well as essential decision making in the care of these patients.
Nursing Care Support: The NNP team provide ongoing support to the nursing staff whether on the unit or through formal education opportunities. The NNP’s are key leaders in patient care projects that support both nursing care and medical management.
Resuscitation: The NNP’s attend deliveries in person at each of the medical centers and via a telehealth support platform at the other level I nursery sites to provide a consistent high level of care for newborns throughout the Legacy system.
Discharge Planning: The entire NICU team works to provide an integrated family care experience to enable families to care for their high-risk infants within the NICU setting and beyond. The NICU values input from all members of the team including dedicated neonatal RT’s, consultants from dietary, OT/PT, lactation, as well as the core nursing, medical and leadership staff.

Minimum 2 years’ experience Level IV NICU preferred
LICENSURE:
- Current applicable state RN license required.
- Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required.
- National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certification preferred
- Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges.

This OB/GYN Hospitalist position will be primarily located at the joint site Legacy Emanuel Medical Center (LEMC) and Randall Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Portland, Oregon. Additional opportunities for coverage at other sites within the Legacy system (either coverage or additional FTE) may be available if interested. For emergency coverage, the group of Hospitalists are credentialed at multiple sites.
The well-established OB/GYN Hospitalist program at RCH/LEMC supports the inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Maternal Fetal Medicine service. The OB Hospitalists and the MFM providers work closely together on a daily basis, and the MFM practice has 24/7 (not in-house) coverage available. The OB Hospitalist also provides backup to the LMG Midwifery Practice (all CNMs), coverage for unassigned labor/triage patients, support of our private practice OB/GYN colleagues as needed (i.e. C-section assisting), and coverage for Emergency Department and inpatient gynecologic consults and emergencies (miscarriage, ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy, etc) with backup available. RCH has a Level IV NICU and serves a vital role in the surrounding communities for high-risk pregnancies. Dedicated in-house Anesthesia is present 24/7. Local academic OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents provide coverage 24/7 at LEMC with medical student rotations most of the year. No outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Shifts are either 12 or 24 hours in-house, in a well-appointed call room on the beautiful Labor & Delivery unit in Randall Children’s Hospital. Some preference can be taken with respect to 12 vs 24 hour shifts, but flexibility is required. Weekend shifts are split evenly among the group of FTE’d employees, as are holidays which are on a rotating schedule. You would be joining Portland’s oldest OB/GYN Hospitalist program with very low attrition over its 15+ year history.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon and Washington.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association required.
- Bilingual a plus!
Required procedures/skills:
- Full OB scope of both low and high-risk pregnancies including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, management of third stage labor, hemorrhage, level 1 ultrasound, repair of episiotomy and lacerations, VBAC, etc. Gynecology procedures including D&C, minor and major laparoscopy with adnexal surgery (oophorectomy, cystectomy, salpingectomy, ectopic), tubal ligation (laparoscopic and postpartum).

Legacy Medical Group Neurology is recruiting an outpatient neurologist to join our team. Legacy Neurology has 5 practice locations attached to 5 acute care hospitals. The clinics are all either in Portland or within 20 minutes of downtown. We have neurohospitalists at all five stroke centers and the neurologist will not need to cover stroke call. We have five outpatient practice locations with subspecialty programs in movement disorders, epilepsy, neuro-ophthalmology, vascular neurology, headache and neuromuscular disease.
The new physician will join our team of neurologists and mid-level providers. The Neurologist will provide outpatient consultation and management of patients with neurological disorders at one or more of our sites. Some general neurology practice is required of all our physicians, but there is an opportunity to develop a subspecialty practice as desired. Randall Children’s program is a full member of COG and accepts 60-70 new oncology patients from Oregon and Southwest Washington on an annual basis. Our staff model includes five physicians (with this position) and two Nurse Practitioners as well as a well-developed team of patient educators, case managers, and psycho--social support. Randall Children’s Hospital (RCH) Pediatric Infectious Diseases team is searching for their next member to join the current 4 physician team. As a part of Legacy Health, RCH serves as a comprehensive, quaternary care pediatric center, serving children from Portland, Oregon, SW Washington and throughout Oregon state. RCH is known regionally for is specialty programs and clinical excellence.
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician at RCH provides inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases consultations and has opportunity to rotate on the larger Pediatric Hospitalist service. This clinical position allows for the support and development of both infectious diseases and comprehensive hospitalist skills while benefiting from a team of close, professional colleagues. Teaching, leadership, antimicrobial stewardship, infection control, and QI opportunities are available within this flexible, clinical model.
Pediatric Infectious Disease Responsibilities:
- Provides inpatient and outpatient consultation services for children served by the Randall Childrens system
- Provides telephone consultative services for providers serving children with infectious diseases
- Shares responsibility with colleagues for infection control practices on all Legacy pediatric units and newborn nurseries and participates as a member on the Infection Control Committee as requested.
- Advises the Legacy Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee including formulary recommendations, restrictions, utilization, and monitoring of adverse reactions as requested.

Pediatric Hospitalist Responsibilities:
- Serves as Attending Pediatrician with options for newborn, general medicine and resident teaching service experience, as agreed upon.

- Participates in education, training, and evaluation of house staff, medical students, and hospital personnel who have direct patient care responsibilities on the Pediatric Units.

Legacy GoHealth Urgent Care is currently seeking a limited number of dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our urgent care team. This unique opportunity includes a comprehensive 12-month urgent care specific training program, designed for new graduate NPs/PAs who are eager to launch their career in urgent care medicine.
